Set in Southbrittany, our peninsula enjoys a very mild and sunny micro climate . The people from Quiberon feel like real islanders, when they leave the peninsula they say they go to the "continent".
Several hundred years ago , Quiberon was a rocky island. The ocean streams left a sandway between the island and the continent. This sandbank, now covered with soil and plants is now unhabited and joins the rock to the continent. Any way there is a very interesting point of view when you get to the cliff and the earth becomes so narrow that you can see the ocean on both sides of the road. There any Quiberonnais, native or by choice, feels he is home again
Quiberon offers all the conveniences of an island without the disavantages. We are surrounded with water. We can see the sun rising over the bay and setting slowly in the ocean, but we don't need to wait for a ferry to leave "our rock".
